Interesting as weeds around the farm are hard to handle with mechanical
control. Herbicides are easier and cheaper than paying for control with a
weed eater. My problem with herbicides for farm cosmetic weed control is
the need for repeated applications driving up costs.
A common misconception at farmers markets is that all Amish or Mennonite
farms are organic or use organic methods.
In the KC area the Amish & Mennonite farmers use common pesticides and
herbicides. In fact the largest supplier is Amish owned.
