I know many people will respond to this.......but maybe it is not yeast?? I would actually go so far as to say that it likely, probably, almost surely isn't yeast though certainly dammaged nipples are more susceptable. Can't wait to hear what the cultures say. Treating for staph is hopefully the next step (and of course then you really need to be proactive/ preventative for yeast - if she doesn't have it now she needs to watch out for sure once starting the antibiotics.) and dealing with that tongue tie is most important, including appropriate follow up re: latch, body work, whatever nec.....since that is the likely cause of the wounds.
There is lots of subborn yeast out there, I think it is a tricky one since it can either be over blamed (diagnosed) as in "nipple pain? hmmm could be yeast" or missed when it is actually an issue. I think a lot of asymptomatic "yeast" is poor latch, unrecognized TT, etc...
Anyone else??
