Many times mothers will say 'I want the baby to get my milk. If it doesn't work out, I'll pump' from the very start. I see a lack of confidence and fear of inadequacy from the few moments after birth. 'No milk' is another statement like that. Most often, the stone from my pocket and words aren't enough to stem the tide of this fear. Empowerment! Bravery! Strength! I'd like to have a poster of a breastfeeding Rosie the Riviter! We Can Do It!!!!
