My understanding is that you are not allowed to have a baby in a sling when 
the plane is taking off. You are supposed to hold the baby in a certain 
position (I think it is with the baby vertical, against your chest, head at 
your shoulder but I could be wrong - I'm trying to remember what the flight 
attendant said the last time I flew with my daughter-in-law and grandchild). 
So it may not have been about the breastfeeding at all, the problem may just 
have been that the baby is supposed to be held a certain way during take off 
(and landing, too, I think).
