I so agree that most "colicky" babies just need holding and feeding. I 
do see some that are overfed and miserable, and when we reduce mom's 
milk production so her MER is less hard and fast, they are happy happy. 
And a few little miserable kidlets who are not happy no matter what, 
despite growing well and being cuddled a lot. If they are fussing all 
the time but not crying, they may be helped by an occupational therapist 
who shows mom how to provide the right sensory experiences for the baby 
and not overstimulate. (Sensory processing issues are related to fussing 
but not crying).
