I appreciate the post about dream feeds. Just recently it infiltrated Manhattan. It was
presented to me as a "METHOD". It seems to me that everyone and there brother is trying
to TRADE MARK ways of circumventing or enhancing natural processes into some method.
As I explained to the mother, dream feeds is merely what women throughout the centuries
have tried to do --- tank the baby up in the often false hope that the baby will sleep longer.
I explained that if the baby were not feeding well, it might work to extend the sleep time by
a little bit; if the baby were feeding well, it might backfire due to indigestion --- but the
physical reality is the stomach is too small to force a baby to sleep beyond their biological
capacity.

Best, Susan
