These are not comparable.
The issue is not about why choose smoking, in terms of comparison. You
have to choose to smoke - but you do not have to choose to eat. You
must eat.
There is no moment of decision to add a behaviour into your life. There
is a behaviour YOU MUST DO, or you will die.
Obese people must eat. They cannot choose not to do this, as any
anorexic will tell you. Babies must eat. Feed The Baby, first and
foremost, feed the baby.
The primary activity must occur. The issue is not about whether you eat
or not, it's about what you eat.
Utterly different from smoking, drug or alcohol use.
