So glad the baby is gaining weight so well!
I think that the lack of poop (good he had one after 36 hrs) is unusual in a
gaining baby, but not unheard of. The consistency you described is not
classic for breastmilk stools, but is the baby receiving anything other than
human milk? If so, that could account for decrease in stool frequency and a
thicker consistency. Bottom line for me is if the baby appears happy and
thriving, and gaining weight steadily. I believe that tongue tie can affect
the whole GI peristalsis, and once corrected, so how that might change
things.
