there is one other thing i experienced and also heard from other bf
counselors and midwives:
although coming from areas in which baby-carrying is normal (like western
africa), many african clients here prefer to use strollers and see wraps and
slings as inferior and "3rd-worldish".
same goes for breastfeeding: it means you don't have the money to buy
formula...
