hello, fellow lactnetters !

i am wondering if anyone knows of any studies or websites i can cite
that may have info on how much the fat content increases in human milk
when the mother is nursing multiple children. i need it primarily b/c
elijah is still not gaining appropriately despite complete elimination
of all his allergens . the GI specialist has opted to do a study of
every single crumb of food and drop of liquid he takes in for 3 days
as well as every single bit of solid waste he puts out. i have to
document all of his intake. he is still nursing very frequently
alongside his 3 yo sister (he's 19 mos now) and i want to be sure the
person analyzing the results has access to the info that the more
children a woman is nursing, the fatter her milk is. it sounds like we
have to be very specific and i am thinking that is not common
knowledge. and then i am thinking maybe it is not even officially
documented knowledge and i should look into it for sure just for my
work w/ bfing moms, too ! i often end up helping the moms who are
tandem nursing & wouldn't want to be giving out misinfo . so if anyone
can point me toward any official source of info about this, i would
really appreciate it ! thanks !!
