You've answered your own question. A negative tox-screen means that there
is no evidence of toxin in the mother's body. Why then would it be a good
idea to withhold breastfeeding and expose the infant to the known risks
associated with artificial feeding? I would also want to see evidence that
the risks associated with breastfeeding following marijuana use are greater
than the risks associated with early exposure to infant formula before
suggesting that breastfeeding is withheld.
