In the case Winnie describes, of a mother who declares an
> intention to formula feed, offering her the option of feeding her baby
> expressed human milk is certainly a good idea.
-------Mmmmmm. I sometimes get the feeling pregnant women feel "trapped" by
all the possibilities there are to breastfeed or feed their baby their milk.
In my experience pregnant women who say they don't want to breastfeed, don't
want it because their bréasts are involved. Brrrrrr. All this handling of
these Special Body Parts - yuk.
So.......by telling straight away they are not going to do "that", they have
the feeling I (and all the other BF-maffiosi) are shaken of their backs. And
then..........I tell them they can pump. And still feed their precious milk.
Aaaargh.
