Hello all,

Has anyone had experience with physicians wanting Moms taking percoset
(oxycodone) for post c/s pain to "pump and dump" ? 

The explaination I was given was that,the observational experience (of the 
physician) led him to correlate "depression (respiration etc.) in babies with the 
mothers(taking oxycodone) who are breastfeeding/providing expressed milk. 

While watchful caution is suggested to make sure the infant who may 
be "hypersedated" is properly cared for, avoiding breastfeeding doesn't seem 
indicated.
