Some parents in Wisconsin were recently charged in the death of their 9 week old infant because they had been diluting the formula in spite of having been told not to do so. This means they had been in contact with someone who could (should) have recommended they breastfeed, especially in light of the fact that there was apparantly concern that the parents might not have enough money for the formula! Of course the newspaper articles don't include everything that went on, so it is possible breastfeeding was strongly recemmended. The story does illustrate that concerns about the misuse of artificial baby milk isn't limited to "those poor countries somewhere else".
