Posting for a colleague not on Lactnet.
Query:
Does your hospital have a policy, protocol, guideline or other process that
guides practice related to women who have a history of or who test positive
for substance use (marijuana, cocaine, methamphetamine, etc.) and desire to
breastfeed? What type of lactation support is provided, if any? Any
information regarding this issue, including your policy, would be greatly
appreciated?
