Hello Wendy and Jaye and all,
This study could be of interest, of course; what annoys me is the following:
""It is a mistake for the mother to express the milk at a certain time and
then store it and feed it to the baby at a different time", I find it quite
awfull and very dangereous
http://esciencenews.com/articles/2009/10/01/breast.milk.should.be.drunk.same.time.day.it.expressed
http://www.firstscience.com/home/news/breaking-news-all-topics/breast-milk-should-be-drunk-at-the-same-time-of-day-that-it-is-expressed-page-2-1_71563.html
and other links;
Well maybe I have finished to become a little paranoid after those 11 years
reading, being educated, counseling, training.... maybe today is not my day,
maybe I suffer a kind of "spleen" today:-)
What I am afraid of, is that finally physicians and moms conclude it is not
worth pumping if their milk may render the baby sleepy in the day or nervous
in the night because pumping time and feeding time are not coincide...
It won't be so far to conclude that: baby is sleepy because of
not-chronobiologically fed pumped breastmilk;
It won't be so far to conclude that : baby is nervous because of
not-chronobiologically fed pumped breastmilk
Nobody will investigate if there is another trouble; before, when there was
a problem, it was due to breastmilk and breastfeeding; by now it may be
because it was not fed at the right moment....:-)
at the other side is artificial baby milk which is chemically linear in
composition for months....
but people often do not conclude "right"; I mean, it will be easy to say: oh
my milk may not be from the good moment so it may be better to give formula;
Or am I so paranoid and cynical today???(maybe sad weather?)
What would be of interest, is studying as many components as possible, taken
from samples pumped at several moments of days and nights for PREMATURE
mother's own milk; for babies receiving their own mother's milk... Have any
of you heard of this??
Breast regards,
