Does anyone use an acuity tool in their hospital work to try to figure
out (justify) how many hours we should be spending doing lactation on
any given day? I searched the archives and found nothing, unless
there's another name for this. Our two-hospital system is trying to
figure out how we can help our sister LC down the road if one of us has
a heavier census than the other. They use an acuity tool to justify how
many nurses they need on the floor and think that one should work for
us, too. I will withhold my comments from public view.
