Interesting, Chayn...

Now the other side of perinatal issues: my almost 15-year old and her friend 
were discussing labour.
The friend, Rosa, said: "Every woman needs some kind of painkiller with 
childbirth. Otherwise you will DIE from pain!"
Says my daughter, quite cool: "Well... I don't think my mom had that with 
us."
Rosa: "Oh, SURE she did! You cannot do without! No way!"
My daughter again: "Yet I don't think she had painkillers."
She's right: I didn't. Four times I didn't. Four times I had an unmedicated 
homebirth.
Apparently, this is not bij everyone considered the normal thing to do or to 
happen...
