Oh, here in south Jersey we have corned beef and cabbage for St Patrick's
Day :-) I agree - use fresh leaves each time and discard after use. Pat in

I never have recommended re-use of the leaves. I usually tell moms that when
they wilt they're done and to start with fresh leaves next time (if they
need to use them again). Cabbage is cheap and plentiful around here, I'm not
sure about other areas. It is funny to moms to recommend them this time of
year--since corned beef and cabbage is supposed to be eaten on New Year's
for luck.
