Hi Larry,

Nothing wrong with your question!  I have been asking myself the same
question, and have kept my deadout equip from my nosema test yard in the
same yard.  So far, no problems, but too soon to know after only the second
season.

The point is that treatment is a hassle, costly, and acetic acid is very
rough on metal.  Unless you have reason to suspect nosema, it's probably not
worth the expense of sterilization.  In Bob's case, where he knows that he
is fighting N ceranae, it may well be worth it.

It is unfortunate that a scope is necessary to determine if nosema is
present, but that's just the way it is.
