do any of you do KOH slides to look at yeast levels? I work in an OB-GYN office and we have been discussing the possibility of doing this for patients that appear to be struggling with yeast but want more conlusive diagnosis prior to treatment. The midwives were thinking you could swab the milk, like you swab the vaginal fluid for a vaginal yeast infection, but I am thinking we should be swabbing the skin, and even then, what are we basing our results on?
thanks!
