Sadly, because of ill health this year I can't resit the boards and will
lose my IBCLC designation. I wish there was a way to get this placed on
"inactive" status for issues like this for those with health issues. I'd be
happy to present a note from my Doctors. I'm currently medically retired due
to ill health and just providing phone support for moms I have previously
worked with on a " friend" basis.
 I know I can sit boards again when things get better but I hate to be
"dropped" from the rolls......
so when I'm dropped- don't think that being board certified isn't important
to me. But even without the designation- lactation support remains a joy in
my life.
