Ms. Marsha,
Thank you for sharing this, I (too?) am of the theory, as I was trained, and continue to
share with the moms that I teach, that if they are with the baby, and not separated, that a
pump is not necessary. I am not afraid to share this information with moms that I council,
but I do let them know that it is an added convenience, if that's what they choose. They
usually appreciate that piece of information, knowing that this is not a mandatory item.
This is the golden opportunity to teach and demonstrate, hand expression, too. Joann C.
