Take a thorough family history of allergies and have excluded only those foods and dairy for starters.  Consider celiac disease


and removal of all gluten (oats, wheat, barley, rye) .  I would probably also put this mom on pancrease MT4  two tabs with each meal tid and one 

with snacks.  The use of pancrease is published in the Journal of Human lactation in 2002 I think by M Haight.
