Another point is that humans are probably supposed to have a little bili,
just not a lot near birth. The fact that formula has become the norm
confuses the issue. If formula babies have lower physiologic jaundice, who
says that is good? "we" think it is, but maybe we don't know what some
bilirubin does to the newborn system (priming liver, turning on or off some
immune factor, digestive factor and so on.....) PS: a very high bili is not
physiologic jaundice IMHO, whatever the cause. Pat in SNJ
