Anne Hinze requested suggestions for training staff at a child care
center on how to be supportive of working mothers who are breastfeeding.
The Wisconsin Breastfeeding Coalition, (now a subcommittee of the
Wisconsin Partnership for Physical Activity and Nutrition), developed
a resource that may be helpful to you. It is called the "Ten Steps
to Breastfeeding Friendly Child Care Centers Resource Kit." You can
view it and download it from
http://dhs.wi.gov/health/physicalactivity/
It has a self-assessment tool for the child care center to use, and
lots of specific suggestions and resources for setting and meeting
goals to support breastfeeding mothers and children.
