Well, the plot thickens. About two years ago, a local artificial milk
company Materna was bought out by Nestle. They set up what they called The
Materna Institute for the Research and Advancement of Infant Nutrition in
Israel ( or is it the advancement of sales in Israel)? http://www.maabarot

.com/htmls/article.aspx?C2004=12836 ( scroll down to where it mentions this
Institute)
Interesting that the list of docs and dieticians who are on the committee
of the new guidelines, are also members of this "Institute".
This company also makes baby cereals, and baby pasta in addition to
artificial milk. It is the only company here which is pushing LCPUFA, which
is mentioned in the recommendations.
I have to get a journalist to run with this item and get this out to the
public.
