It should have been impossible because the hospital sent me home on
Friday when he was 3 days old and we didn't pick him up till Monday.
And while they let us see him, I wasn't allowed to feed him while he
was under the bili light and no one told me about hand expressing or
anything at all. But I was so engorged that I had to stand in the
shower and express a lot.
I credit my nursing my oldest, now 36 to having a mother that
breastfed and friends that breastfed too. I picked him up and
expected to nurse, so did.
And as I tell my clients, I didn't breastfeed for all the good
reasons, just because we were poor and I am lazy. Also my reason for
perfecting side lying instantly.
So I was just too stupid to fail.
