Good post, Regina. It is very important that we take our assessment
of product effectiveness, motivation and personality of a product's
representative, our own wish to be fair and pleasant and even our
wish to see more breastfeeding *out* of the equation.
(I think it's pertinent that the rep quoted by Ilene stated the
company's mission is to 'get breastmilk to babies' which is not
necessarily the same thing as 'seeing more breastfeeding', though. )
The Code (and the associated WHA resolutions) is the one issue we can
all agree on, and this is what counts.
(In future, I would like to see pumps covered by the Code as well,
but in this case, it's not really relevant...if the company is not
Code compliant with regard to bottles, then end of story. Easy :) )
