# Baby is refusing breastmilk from a bottle. We considered nipple
confusion but the baby will take formula from the bottle. Baby also
refuses breastmilk from a cup or other alternative methods. Then
mother found that the milk tastes terrible. Now we are focusing on
lipase. Mother has scalded the milk but baby still refuses it. #

Was she originally offering her baby fresh or frozen milk, cool or
warm? I pumped for months for both of my children when they went to
daycare, and noticed that milk tasted better when it was not warmed up
before offering, ie. fridge temperature. Milk that had been kept in
the fridge tasted better than frozen, but nevertheless cold/cool milk
(whether from fridge or freezer) tasted and smelled a lot better than
heated.
