Dear friends,
Just exercising my logic thinking here.
1. baby has been exposed in utero; did anyone inquire if it was OK for him to be in utero?
2. the hazards of not being breastfed are very well documented
3 do the possible effects of wearing off levels of any substance outweigh the known risks of not breastfeeding an already vulnerable infant in need of all protection it needs?
Warmly,
Gonneke, IBCLC, MOM, in southern Nethelands

Does anyone one have any data on if a mother uses marijuana during
pregnancy how long after the last ingestion she should wait to breastfeed, or
does a negative urine tox screen at delivery mean that breastfeeding the
newborn would be ok
