I agree with Dawn that moms have the right to know when they have POTENTIAL breastfeding challenges.  I would disagree, however, with the term "red flag".  IMO red indicates "stop" or "danger".  I have always preferred to call them "yellow flags" which indicates "caution".  I will tell a mom something like, "I notice you have such and such varitation in your breasts.  Many moms with this variation nurse without any difficulty.  However, for others it may indicate internal variations which may cause a challenge.  Therefore, I would redcommend that you keep close tabs on the following indicaters of feeding adequacy...................  If you are having any problems or if you question whether baby is getting enough, contact us right away so we can assess more thoroughly and help you overcome or work with the difficulties."
