Sent to the editor today, at
<[log in to unmask]> Not very empathetic, I guess
.... but the whole article seemed just a bit too contrived to be
real, to me....

'The article, "Is breastfeeding best for mother, too?" Sunday Life
Magazine, 3 May 2009 is a glaringly pro-bottle-feeding plug
transparently slanted from the perspective of a well-informed,
hard-done-by mother who tried - and failed - to breastfeed. It
attempts to evoke sympathy for a mother's emotional and physical
needs over those of her baby. But the article is grossly misleading,
both about the quality of assistance that mothers deserve in order to
make breastfeeding easy, pain-free and successful, and about the
fully researched, very negative health consequences for the
non-breastfed baby. Shame on you for tapping into this marketing hypocrisy!
