Hi,

I am wondering how many of you have pediatric practices in your communities
who use the WHO growth charts for infants, the newer ones that represent
breastfed infants as well as formula fed ones.

I just inquired about the practice of our local peds and found they continue to
use the AAP/CDC growth charts. One of the concerns is that the WHO charts
do not represent the growth of children in the US. I found an excellent post in
the archives from Rachael Myr regarding how the study was done which led to
the development of the charts. I might try to explain this info to our peds. I
would love to know if any of you have seen a difference if your peds practices
do use the WHO charts.

Thanks,
Brenda Phipps, BS, IBCLC
