The way we did it when I was at a hospital with a NICU is that Food
Service purchased it since they were ordering all patient food. There was no
extra charge for the patient.
That's wonderful that you all will be using donor milk. We had such good
luck with it
`~ Ginger,
I notice your tense is the past tense. Did something change or stop, or do
you simply no longer work there or something? Just wondering. Thanks! It's
an interesting thread since I assume that patients are not charged extra
for food in the hospital but it must be included somehow. Also, though, human
milk is more than food, and as sort of a medicinal product as well or
even moreso actually), I wonder if meds are charged specifically, whereas
maybe food isn't? Dunno since I don't work in a hospital. Just thinking...
Peace,
Judy
