BRAVO for Susan's careful explanations and informative posts, and OTHERS TOO
who are sticking to discussing the research and ideas. Ideas and theories
are ripe for discussion and argument - that kind of dialogue benefits us
all.
I love being challenged on a "pet theory," which is entirely different from
being slammed because of a personal characteristic. I also like being
quoted on a "pet theory" as long as the quote is accurate, because I try
very hard to make my "quotable statements" based on solid evidence.
If my ideas are just that - my ideas - I DO try very hard to clarify that
these are IDEAS, not facts.
