Dear Mary, I am the self-proclaimed milk blister queen. These things are a pestilence! Also VERY repeat VERY persistent. The mom must be vigilant about keeping the top of the blister open every day all day for three weeks. No respite. For some reason her body decided it wants skin there and she does NOT want skin there.
I dance around the idea of ibuprofen or acetaminophen (since I'm not supposed to recommend). I'll bet Dr. Newman's apno (homemade or otherwise) would help. I think even lanolin ointment can help keep the blister skin from annealing back onto the pore opening. Just my 2 cents. Former bleb sufferer, Rowena
