Hi Denise
In light of this, " The baby's needs are met as he is gaining weight
(nothing spectacular, but WNL's) and peeing and pooping well. He receives
nothing else but her breast milk." I have to ask:
What makes this mother think that she is "losing" her milk? There is
nothing in your case description that indicates anything out of the
ordinary.  Four month old babies commonly 'reverse cycle' (feed all night;
sticky beak all day) especially when they are separated from their mothers
for work for parts of every week.
Perhaps this mother just needs her experience normalised by other mothers
who are managing the very same behaviours?
Cheers
Nina Berry
