Hi Leigh Anne,
I suggest you call the Lactation Study Center at Strong (Univ of Rochester) tomorrow. Tel # 585-275-0088, their hours are 10-3, or so. I usually speak with Sharon there. Keep the number handy for these sorts of questions and remember they do not take calls directly from parents.

Subject: Re: vitamin D suppplementation
Hello Wise Ones,
I cannot seem to find the answer to this.
A mom with a 6 month old exclusively breastfeed baby has sever Vitamin
D deficiency and has been prescribed 50,000 nits per day. Mom wants to
check safety. I can't find anything with that level. Any place I can
check?
Thank you,
Leigh Anne O'Connor, BA, IBCLC, LLLL
