Shouldn't the question actually be if there is any literature out there that no matter what every single newborn needs to have this prophylaxis?
Shouldn't this be left for children at risk, for example in mothers diagnosed with yuckiness around labour?
Gonneke, IBCLC, LLLL, just wondering in my part of the rest of the world where there is no such thing as prophylactic eyetreatment for all newborns
