I got permission from a mother to ask for additional help. She is breastfeeding a
6 mo old baby,gaining well.She is taking amitriptyline 200mg a day(L2 per
Dr.Hale) during pregnancy was taking 150mg.Her psychiatrist told her now at 6
mo to stop breastfeeding, beacuse "there are no advantages" anymore.I gave
her all the info I know, baby was exposed during pregnancy, breastfed for 6
mo.So,am I missing something? Why at 6 mo?She really loves BF,doesn't want
to stop, but feels very pressured and scared. One more thing, she lives in
England.
Thank you for any input,
