Yes, it does happen. In 1990, I had a VBAC after four cesareans. It took a bit 
of work to find a doctor willing to take me, but I finally found the right one. I 
labored for 31 hours and delivered a 9#1oz baby with no complications. That 
was in the midwest. How sad I was to learn that here in California the practice 
of VBAC was greatly supressed. I believe litigation is the cause, but the moms 
are just told of all the "great risks".
