**Once again: this is a great big mist for me, no clue as to what this tells
me about Lara's (breastfeeding) awareness, as Kathleen describes it. End of
October we were in a meeting with a national institute on the Ezzo-like
guideline that is about to be implemented. It's a dreadful document. The
lady promoting it, has her PhD. Mind you: that is the highest title you can
have after studying and doing research at the university. Once again:
PROMOTING AN EZZO-LIKE GUIDELINE, with the promotion being sponsered by an
ABM-producer... So much for awareness 'proven' by credentials... I put more
trust in LLL-credentials then. It may be interesting sometimes, to see what
people have studied, I agree. Then again, people can pass exams without
having managed to get to the heart of the issue; they may get not to the
spirit but only to the word of documents and professions and attitudes. Sad,
but true nevertheless. You may have read whole libraries, but here, where
all those professions come together, you can prove your skills by writing a
good post. That involves not only theory, but also the ability to put your
knowledge and attitude in words. Do that well, and you deserve the credits,
regardless of credentials.
Warmly,
Marianne Vanderveen, Netherlands
