I'm sure all of us are asked that sometime. When I first came to Israel,
I was quite taken aback by how open people are about fairly personal
things. Buy a house, and all your friends want to know what you paid. It
took some getting used to, since I grew up in a rather reserved family.
And everyone is VERY open about "women's things". So, I can never really
comfortably dodge the question (altho I usually want to!) of How long did
I (meaning Judy) nurse and/or How long should I (that is, the mom) nurse.
This latter one isn't so bad, because then I can usually find a reason
for long-duration bfing that will make sense to an individual woman. JAN
B: when you figure out an answer, please clue me in. Kathy Auerbach's is
beautiful and speaks to ME, but I'm still mostly American. The moms here
would feel insulted by such an answer. I'm waiting, Jan......Judy Knopf
