I work in Public Health in Ontario Canada. The scales we use are Tanita 1583
Model. These are very reliable scales, digital, can be left in your car (both
winter and summer), have both imperial and metric weights, are light weight,
easy to clean and will weigh up to 40 lbs. We have approx 50 of these scales
(each nurse has her own). We have some that are 10 yrs old too and still
working well. The cost is about $399 (Cdn) and the padded bag is about $100
(Cdn). The bags will last about about 2 yrs if ou use them like we do, it's
usually the zipper that goes. Hope this helps you!
