For a mother with a history of full lactation x2, then some difficulty
establishing lactation with ultimate success, to now with a total failure of
lactogenesis, I would be thinking retained placenta or gestational ovarian
theca lutein cysts(see JHL vol 18(3), 2002); (testosterone will be
elevated). This could be what happened with the mom's 3rd lactation, becoz
it resolves in several weeks postpartum.
