"CALIFORNIA BILL TO REQUIRE INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR LACTATION CONSULTANTS AND
BREASTPUMPS
Building on previous legislation requiring unpaid break time and a sanitary
location for pumping, two new bills, Assembly Bills 513 and 514, require
HMOs and other insurers to provide coverage for services by an
IBCLC-specifically identifying this as the standard-and breastpumps, in
addition to requiring one paid break every 4 hours for milk expression. To
