I can't find the lactnet post I was looking for and must have deleted it.
Even though it sounds unlikely, retained products are possible after a
C-section.  It shouldn't happen, but it does.
I became aware of this when a new client who had booked a consultation rang
to say she couldn't make it as she was in hospital having surgery after a
bleed.  She'd had a C/S.  I don't have my notes, but I am pretty sure that
she was about four weeks postpartum, and that she had supply issues. She
didn't make another appointment as she decided against breastfeeding.
