In view of yet another instance of discrimination of breastfeeding mothers
http://parenting.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/12/19/censoring-breastfeeding-on-facebook/?hp,
I would like to propose two new words to describe extreme fear of nursing
breasts and nipples in particular
thelephobia - fear of nipples (this seems to be particularly prevalent in
the US)
mastophobia - fear of breasts

I have found one use of mastophobia online
http://mbarrick.livejournal.com/741081.html

The term thelephobia has not been mentioned online anywhere as of yet. I
used it for the first time in the Russian breastfeeding support community in
LiveJournal last night.

The use of the words mastophobia and thelephobia in public discourse on
breastfeeding will label attempts to discriminate against any depiction of
public breastfeeding as an abnormal behavior. As we all know, many people
will think twice about admitting they are abnormal.
