Hi
It was really good to sit round and hang out with other lactnetters one lunchtime at the VELB / ILCA conference in Viennna last week. I was also amazed that so many lactnetters approached me earlier to say they recognised my name from posts. This is truly an international list.
As for the conference, I loved the way the plenary speakers on Day 1 interacted, referring to each other's work. Many of the presenters in the concurrent sessions offered a great deal across a range of clinical, cultural, statistical and other areas. It was good to see such an international spread of posters, too. The winners were very deserving. There are tips I am raring to share with colleagues now that I'm home.
Of course, at most conference I attend, this one included, the human interaction and informal sharing in the breaks is also valuable.
Cheers
Virginia
